SAM 4: Haemostasis Lower Limb
SAM 10: Haemostasis and Arterial Shunting Lower Limb
Emergency haemorrhage control as close to the point of wounding as possible is recognised to have had a major impact on survival in recent conflicts.
These models will enable point of wounding techniques to be practiced, using theatrical blood to simulate the haemorrhage and give graphic confirmation that a technique has been successfully executed. The more complex SAM 10 will enable training to move forward to the level of surgical haemorrhage control, with vessel dissection and vascular sling application being followed by arterial shunt insertion. SAM 10 can be combined with SAM 2 Lower Limb Fasciotomy Model.
